Grookey on the Ball is a Basic Grass-type Pokémon TCG promo trading card from the 2020 Pokémon Futsal series, a limited five-card set released exclusively in England as part of a youth futsal (indoor soccer) promotion. The card’s illustration (credited to the Pokémon Company art team) shows Grookey in a soccer uniform joyfully dribbling a soccer-ball-patterned Poké Ball on a futsal court, with a goal net and cheering crowd behind him; the scene is framed by a shiny gold foil border with holographic shine. Numbered 003/005, it’s one of five “On the Ball” promos (along with Pikachu, Scorbunny, Sobble, and Eevee variants) that were only distributed at participating UK GAME stores and futsal events, making it especially rare outside the UK. Its attacks include Tenacious Defense (which stops an opponent’s Active Pokémon from retreating) and a 50-damage Razor Leaf, giving it casual play use – its main appeal, however, is as a soccer-themed novelty collectible featuring fan-favorite Grookey.
